About congressional stock trading

The Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act, signed in 2012, requires members of Congress and their staff to publicly disclose personal securities transactions within 45 days. These disclosures — called Periodic Transaction Reports (PTRs) — are filed with the House Clerk or Senate Office of Public Records and are available to the public.

Capitol Trader collects, normalizes, and publishes these disclosures daily. You can browse trades by state below, search by ticker or congressman, or subscribe to free email alerts when new trades are disclosed.
